Host a screening

Welcome to the Brain Matters Exhibitor´s tool, designed so you can host a successful screening and help raise awareness about the importance of the early years of life in your community. This tool will allow you to prepare, host, screen and organize a discussion with your guests after having watched the film. Depending on the number of guests, you can host a screening in a community center, classroom, library, church and conference room or in larger venues such as cinemas or auditoriums. With these 5 simple steps, we can help you organize your private event. Here is how to get started:

l

Step 1:

Complete the application form.

If you have not yet decided a date or venue, you can already begin the application process. After we receive your application, our team will contact you within 48 hours to answer any questions you may have or send any additional information you may require.

Step 2:

Plan your event.

There are different ways of organizing a screening based on your community and your guests. From a presentation prior to the screening to a discussion or Q&A after watching the film. We will make a variety of different resources available to help you focus on the most interesting aspects of the film for your community and encourage their participation. The resources include bite size videos, a discussion guide and a list of suggestions that will help you host a successful screening and panel discussion/Q&A afterwards.

Step 3:

Communicate your event.

Once your event is approved by our team, you will be sent a series of promotional tools, including:

  • Editable Poster
  • Editable Invitation
  • Editable email template
  • Discussion Guide

You can also share our social media content to attract potential guests to your screening. These promotional tools will help you communicate your event in an professional and effective way.

Step 4:

Confirm details.

2-3 days before your scheduled event, you will receive a downloadable/streaming file of the film or a copy in Blu-ray/DCP, depending on the size of the venue and the number of guests. For larger venues and cinemas, we strongly recommend projecting from a Blu-ray/DCP copy. The copy and the shipping of a physical Blu-ray/DCP will be the only cost you will have to assume.

Step 5:

Enjoy your event knowing you have organized it a professional manner.

A few days after your private event, we will contact you to follow up to hear your impressions and opinion first hand.

Thank you very much for supporting and promoting Brain Matters!

What dates can I host an event?

We are open to all dates that work best for you and your schedule.

How do I host an event?

Please complete the form. Our team will review your submission, reply with any questions, and then confirm your event. We then will provide you with promotional tools and instructions on how to make your event as successful as possible.

Where can I host a screening?

We have screenings happening in theaters, colleges, classrooms, offices, libraries, community centers and conventions. As long as you have the audio and video projection equipment, we can provide the film. For larger venues and cinemas, we strongly recommend projecting from a Blu-ray/DCP copy instead of the standard downloadable link. The shipping of the physical copy will be the only cost you will have to assume.

Will you help me promote my event?

I have a question. Is there someone I can speak with directly?

Yes, you can email us at info@BrainMattersFilm.com

What does it cost to host an event?

As long as you have secured a venue, there are no costs to hold an event on our side, except if you require a Blu-ray/DCP copy of the film, instead of the free, downloadable file created for smaller venues.

In what format will the film arrive?

The film will be available to you 7 days prior to your event. It will be available in streaming and download for most venues. In case you organize a screening in a larger venue or cinema, we will send you a Blu-ray/DCP copy. The cost of copying and shipping will be the only cost you’ll have to consider from our side.

How long is the film?

The film is 72 minutes

My event is coming up, when will you send the film?

We will send the film approximately 7 days prior to your event. You should test and/or download the film to ensure proper playback on audio and video.
